HR For Non HR


As employees move up the career ladder and become managers, the requirement to deliver hands on technical skills will become less apparent. However, the skills to manage people will become more critical and important. Thus, the adage: “Every Manager is a HR Manager” holds water in this particular instance.
This course will provide:
i. An appreciation of the HR Management spectrum to line managers.
ii. UnderstandingHRDepartment’sroleandhowtheycancollaborateinexecutingHRpolicies
and practices.
iii. Acquire basic interpersonal skills and manage first level employee issues.
iv. Assist HR Department in addressing their staff developmental needs and retention.
v. Act as a change agent for organisational needs.


Course Description

This workshop serves as an introductory session to the total HR spectrum knowledge for all line managers. It provides some understanding on the strategic role Human Resource Management (HRM) plays in achieving an organisation’s vision and mission. Participants will also learn the brief essentials of HRM, how to counsel and motivate employees, their roles in staff career development, understand the importance of training in developing employees as well as managing change in organisations.
